Founded in 2003 by 3 members of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, Star Spangled Ice Cream is for real, even though some people think our flavor names are over the top. If you think the stories about us in the media are based on forged documents (and who could blame you), why not just try our delicious, high-quality ice cream yourself? If Star Spangled Ice Cream is not yet available in your local store, you can always have some shipped frozen straight to your home.

Q. WHY DOES YOUR MAIL ORDER ICE CREAM COST SO MUCH?

As is the case with other perishable gourmet gift products like steaks, seafood, etc., the costs of dry ice packaging and UPS 2-day shipping make ordering Star Spangled Ice Cream by mail much more expensive than buying it in a store. However, our ice-cream-by-mail prices and product quality are actually comparable to – and in many cases better than – other high-quality ice creams available by mail (including Ben & Jerry’s). Plus our containers are way funnier!

Q. IS STAR SPANGLED ICE CREAM KOSHER CERTIFIED?

All Star Spangled Ice Cream sold in retail stores – as well as the pint-size containers sold on this website – are Kof-K Kosher certified. On the other hand, the quart-size containers sold on this website (which are made by a smaller producer of high-end gourmet ice cream) are NOT Kosher certified.

Q. DO YOU MAKE FAT-FREE ICE CREAM OR OTHER ICE CREAM FOR SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?

For now, the answer is “NO” – but we appreciate the tremendous interest everyone has expressed and will certainly keep people’s special dietary needs in mind as we expand our product line.

Q. CAN I SEND STAR SPANGLED ICE CREAM TO FRIENDS, FAMILY AND TROOPS OVERSEAS?

Unfortunately, we ship only within the United States (except Alaska and Hawaii). You can of course send Star Spangled Ice Cream to military bases inside the United States.

Q. DO YOUR PRIVATE LABEL MANUFACTURERS OWN SHARES OF YOUR COMPANY OR ENDORSE YOUR POLITICAL VIEWS?

Although based 100% in the United States, our manufacturers are not affiliated with Star Spangled Ice Cream in any way except as vendors who handle our production needs. We have never discussed politics with them and have no idea where they are on the political spectrum. They are stand-up people who make outstanding ice cream, and that’s good enough for us.
